After the reception at City Hall, said His Holiness who was born in 1963 and who was visiting the Hanseatic city for the first time, "Before, I had read much about Hamburg - and everything is exactly what I read. The people here are relaxed and open. In fact, there are many large cities with pollution problems, but not here. It is a very green city.". What he had found the most beautiful, he could not answer, because he had seen so many.

Before we continued with the program, there was a three-course vegetarian meal and also different kinds of tea in the Hotel Louis C. Jacob. We were quite relaxed while welcoming His Holiness in the late afternoon, and then we walked down the red carpet at the Curio House. In the evening he gave a talk on "Is Buddhism a religion?" This was organized by Drukpa Hamburg. Who is His Holiness the 12th Gyalwang Drukpa? He was born as Jigme Pema Wangchen in Tso Pema / Himachal Pradesh, a holy city in India.
